Thankyou for being an inspiration
About the Book: R K Laxman: The Uncommon Man, briefly talks about the life of the renowned artist R K Laxman and shares few pieces of his work with us. Reading a book like this is an inspiration for upcoming artists/cartoonist or anyone who wishes to add a little change in the world. The brief sneak-peak into his tough times is an inspiration to never loose hope and always believe in yourself.

Like every struggling artist, even R K Laxman faced his share of ups and downs but never gave-up. He believed in his work and was always appreciated for his talent. R K Laxman was one of those people who created a job title for himself. He didn't needed a company to describe his job profile, he created the job profile for himself and proved his worth in the political environment of India.

The best part of this book was reading about his experience with renowned industries like Hindustan Times, The Indian Express and so on. Every individual/organisation who didn't believe in his work, his talent ensured that they learnt about him the right way.

That was wonderful! Such an inspiration!

An inspiration who once said---
I drew objects that caught my eye outside the window of my room – the dry twigs, leaves and lizard-like creatures crawling about, the servant chopping firewood and, of course, and number of crows in various postures on the rooftops of the buildings opposite
— R. K. Laxman

His artworks touched our lives. He gave a humorous touch to the major issues of not only the political scenario but also our day-to-day living.
