February 29th by Frank Mc Caughey

**** I received this book as a giveaway from the author******
First chapter and I was worried that this book might turn out to be on witchcraft and wizards with magical warlock who trap children in the dungeons by giving them sweet little treats! Which it is NOT!!
But I do understand why I got a little candy with the book! milkysmileYummy!!
This book is paradise in candy-land for the little character named Frank. Frank and his twin brother Jimmy's adventure at the candy-store of Mr. Blake which is also a time-travel portal. Frank is a cute little 12 year old who loves his mute brother and candies. For the rest, one has to read the book I am afraid

Received an Autographed copy! Yay!!

Up until I reached page 250, I was utterly confused with what is going on? Time travel? Portal? Bad people? Missing dog? Two brothers-both handicap? It was too much to digest at one go and too confusing to understand what exactly is happening? At certain point, I felt it doesn't really makes any sense and was eventually loosing the patience to read further. But I am glad I did reach till the end because what came afterwards proved me wrong!

The sooner I reached towards 'the present' (last section of the book), everything became crystal clear and I was so hooked on what is happening that I just couldn't wait to rush to the end. Everything had a logic, every incident throughout the book had a reasoning. It was completely unimaginable how everything was beautifully intertwined!

I enjoyed reading this book. I always feel that it is very difficult to write a book from the aspect of little kids and the way this book has been written from the aspect of little 12 year old Frank with sweet little humour is very intrigued.

I wish I could tell you about the spine-chilling  adventure of Frank and Jamie, but then it will kill the curiosity of What Happened on February 29th? And ofcourse, I wouldn't want that!

One terrible incident can really change your life and Frank learnt it the hard way, he needed the push to differentiate the fake from the real in the process of growing up. But does he win? Was he able to over-come the tragedy? Well, read the book to find out!!

This book is very nicely written and everything is very tactfully explained to keep the reader confused in the mysteries of events. It was like baking a cake, the author knew exactly how much sugar or flour to add, to make the cake soft and taste delicious. But then you have to hold your patience and wait till you reach the end.

I enjoyed reading and am thankful to the author for the beautiful give-away!
